Wall St set for muted open after hot PPI keeps smaller rate cut in view

(Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes were subdued at the open on Thursday as a hot producer prices reading kept a smaller 25-basis point interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve firmly on the table.

The fell 0.4 point at the open to 40862.11. The rose 3.3 points, or 0.06%, at the open to 5557.48​, while the rose 18.4 points, or 0.11%, to 17413.889, at the opening bell.
