England legend Katherine Sciver-Brunt has joined the board of directors at Yorkshire.

Regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers of all time, Sciver-Brunt took 335 international wickets, more than any other woman for England.

The 39-year-old won the Ashes three times, the 50-over World Cup twice and T20 title once in a career spanning three decades.

She retired from Test cricket in June 2022 and all international cricket just under a year later, before playing her final game with Trent Rockets in The Hundred in August 2023.

Sciver-Brunt’s domestic teams included Yorkshire, Yorkshire Diamonds and Northern Diamonds and she will take up the position of an independent non-executive director at Headingley.

In a joint announcement, Yorkshire confirmed former lawyer Karen Moorhouse has also been appointed to the same role.

Moorhouse had held similar roles previously, including as a non-executive director on the board of the Rugby League World Cup held in England in 2022.

“We’re delighted to welcome Katherine and Karen to the board,” chair Colin Graves told the club website.

“They are both exceptional individuals who bring a wide variety of skills, talent, experiences and knowledge, which will benefit the club”.
