PCB conducting dope tests on directives of ICC

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is conducting dope tests of those cricketers who have been performing extraordinarily well in the Pakistan Cup, being played at Faisalabad.Talking to APP, a PCB official said the dope tests are being conducted on the directives of the International Cricket Council (ICC) to check against the possible use of illegal substances.He said besides six cricketers – Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Sami, Khurram Manzoor, Sami Aslam, Bilawal Bhatti and Mohammad Hassan – dope tests of other cricketers are also being conducted.He said the tests of one to two cricketers are being conducted after every match.As many as five teams including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), ‘Balochistan and Islamabad are participating in the Pakistan Cup, a 50-over tournament.
