Razzaq to assist Sri Lanka blind cricket
ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Blind Cricket team captain Abdul Razzaq will assist the visually’impaired players of Sri Lanka for the T20 World Cup of the Blind, scheduled to be held in India in November.Talking to APP, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Chairman Syed Sultan Shah said the Sri Lanka team, which recently played and lost a Twenty20 and ODI series against Pakistan, had asked them to provide the services of a Pakistani coach.PBCC, he said will select a new’look team for the T20 World Cup.Sri Lankan team manager Narbat Silva said the Sri Lankan blind cricketers had learnt a lot on their tour of Pakistan.We came to Pakistan after eight years and it has developed a lot even more than Sri Lanka, he said.He said, ‘we really enjoyed playing cricket in Pakistan.Tough we lost yet we will be taking many memories back home. The people over here are good and helpful,’ he said.
