Banks to remain open on 10

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan on Monday issued directions to commercial banks to remain open on September’ 10, just before the start of the Eidul Azha holidays.The SBP directed banks to keep all of their branches open on Sept 10, Saturday from 9 AM to 530 PM.The directions were issued to the presidents of the commercial banks to facilitate consumers ahead of the Eid holidays.The central bank asked all the related banks to ensure punctuality of time.The government today announced three public holidays for the event of Eidul Azha to be celebrated on September 13, 2016.According to a notification issued by the Interior Ministry, September, 12, 13 and 14 would be public holidays.
